Great high back support, however, disappointed in the seat -could definitely use much more padding…. My butt was aching after 1 hr of paddling….Cup holders were a great idea, however, location -wise is not convenient when you’re in the kayak-nor is the struggle to get your water bottle out of the sleeve….Had to add extra fasteners to my kayak to secure this seat.Seat is thinner than I expected. I bought this for the seat height and lumbar support. No lumbar support in box. I now see that has happened to other customers, which is concerning. No way to contact seller (and they didn't respond to earlier review) to get just the lumbar support sent, so I am returning entire seat.I was very excited to use this on my paddle board this weekend. The only reason I went with this seat is because of the lumbar support, but when the package arrived it was just the seat with no lumbar support. I could buy an alternative seat for much cheaper than this if that was what I wanted. I’ll probably be returning if the seller doesn’t fox this issue.Full disclosure, I have a bad back and I'm trying to find that perfect seat, if it exists...and this one is awesome. I put it on a 9.5 Abaco SOT kayak for drifting 2 different rivers I frequent. One is open and wide with several rock gardens but still fun and the other is narrower, has overhangs and strainers and fallen trees to navigate with multiple sandbars and shallows. I put 2 Velcro pieces on the bottom of the seat and on the kayak to match up so it wouldn't slide. But the curve of the back of the molded seat causes the back to slide and bunch up at the top of your butt. The seat is comfy though. And my buddy who had back surgery said it was an amazing addition to comfort.Bought these to improve my sit-in kayak’s seat. Very supportive. Fit with minor modifications.First off, I’m 6’4” and I’ve had back surgery (Fusion from L2 to S1) so the original seat wasn’t tall enough to offer any support. This is probably 4 plus inches taller and it has some cushion. So far, Im pleased. If something changes then I’ll update this.The seat is gel and very comfortable, the back support is great.Worth every penny.It is on a Hobie outback and I removed the quick lock pins from Hobie seat and put them on this seat( just take a drill bit of appropriate size and heat up with lighter then burn 2 holes in thick webbing at back of seat) works greatNice seat. I had to make modifications. Needed a small piece of sheet aluminum and had to drill through the fabric to properly bolt down. Otherwise the seat pivoted back too much and provided no support.
