I got a new car and it has black leather seats. I wouldn’t have necessarily picked leather because I live in Texas and in the summer leather seats get HOT, especially black ones, but that was my only option.I got seat covers to avoid burning the back of my legs in the Texas heat. They were pretty easy to install, just take the headrest off and put the cover over the top of the seat, then put the headrest back on to hold it in place. Then there’s a strap with a buckle that goes around the back of the seat. There’s a piece of like foam in the back that you just shove into the crack where the seat and backrest meet. The most difficult part is strapping the Velcro strap under the seat, but only because it’s awkward to try to reach over and under the whole seat but it was still pretty easy to install.For $22 for 2 seat covers, it’s not half bad and I’m happy with it. They’re subtle enough and don’t take away from the leather look in the rest of the car. It’s not a perfect custom fit by any means, but it’s a decent enough fit for a 2020 Ford Escape.I just installed them so I can’t judge durability but we’ll see. The slot for the headrest is also a little bigger than it looks in Amazon but it’s fine and I didn’t put the headrest covers on so maybe that’d make a difference.If you’re looking for seat covers that are a perfect and exact fit for your seats then these may not be for you and you’d most likely need to spend more for that custom fit look but these are pretty close.I just want to not burn the back of my legs and have seat covers that don’t look super trashy. This works perfectly so far for what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend on it.Note that I took the picture with flash. In person they’re not as grey as they look, they’re more like a dark grey. Based on how the flash reflected off the material, that should kinda help see what the material is like.
